Museum of the First Serbian Uprising

The Museum in Orašac was opened on the 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising outbreak. The Museum exhibition of Historical Museum of Serbia displays Serbia before the Uprising, the beginning of the Uprising and the assembly in Orašac, the supreme leader Karadjordje Petrović, great battles, organizational chart of Serbian Government from 1804-1813, education and school systems of rebellious Serbia and the military collapse in 1813.
A Monument to Karadjordje
On the 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising, the municipality of Aranđelovac built the monument of white marble dedicated to Karadjordje. The monument is 3.40 m high and it was done by a sculptor Drinka Radovanović. The Monument has been placed in front of the Memorial School.
Souvenirs
When you pay a visit to the Museum, drop in our souvenir shop where you can buy a lot of interesting souvenirs with motifs of the First Serbian Uprising. Colourful coffee or tea mugs, small drinking glasses, watches, small statues and designed souvenirs made of glass. Miniature copies of repentance church and school, jars and tripods.
