Orašac has been classified as a famous historical site by the Decision of the Serbian Assembly as of 1979 and as such included among the immovable cultural goods of exceptional significance for history and culture of Serbia.
Museum of the First Serbian Uprising
The Museum in Orašac was opened on the 200th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising outbreak. The Museum exhibition of Historical Museum of Serbia displays Serbia before the Uprising, the beginning of the Uprising and the assembly in Orašac, the supreme leader Karadjordje Petrović, great battles, organizational chart of Serbian Government from 1804-1813, education and school systems of rebellious Serbia and the military collapse in 1813.
